The ecological mattress

The ecological mattress is a shrewd choice for healthy living. For some time now the research and development of many businesses, including Mollyflex, have been geared towards natural materials so as to create a harmonious relationship between man and nature. Nature, indeed, offers man every possible material for resting in a healthy and correct way.
To begin with, it should be pointed out that a natural mattress is only considered natural if it is organic, and made from natural raw materials. It is therefore important to pay attention to its composition and the certifications that are featured on the mattress. Mollyflex is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard and CertiPUR, guaranteeing that there are no harmful substances in the fabric and or internal layers of the mattress.

Another important feature is that there are no phthalates – plasticised chemicals which are often used on cots, but sometimes also on pillows and mattresses. These chemical compounds are often linked to the onset of health problems and difficulty sleeping, as they affect the endocrine system and hormonal development: even in children they can cause serious problems such as asthma or allergies.

ADVANTAGES OF ECOLOGICAL MATTRESSES:

  • Compared to synthetic materials, natural materials create a better microclimate.
  • The use of natural materials, such as natural latex, provides excellent distribution of pressure, modulated elasticity and exceptional versatility; it also offers perfect support for the body.
  • Stuffing made from horsehair, wool and eco-friendly cotton regulates temperature and efficiently wicks moisture away from the body.
