The MED Directive 2014/90/EU is intended to harmonize, among all the Member States of the European Community, the assessment procedures for equipment intended to be placed on board Community, passenger and commercial ships.
It is therefore a question of submitting to technical tests for certification purposes both the equipment for radio communications and navigation and the materials for equipping the ship including fire-fighting system.
The distinguishing mark for these products is the “Helm”. Mollyflex products for the shipbuilding industry are all MED certified.
